"Vidya is a thorough professional. She doesn't limit herself as an actress even after her marriage. She does whatever she is asked to do," Gupta said.

There were reports that the film has a kissing scene between Vidya and Emraan Hashmi, but Gupta refused to confirm it saying, "As far as the lip lock scene is concerned, I won't say whether it is there or not. All I can say is they play husband and wife, so there is a space to explore."
Gupta, who is directing a comedy for the first time after grim and gritty 'Aamir' and 'No One Killed Jessica', said, "It is a situational comedy and I want to explore myself as much as I can."
He admits it is "not easy to direct a comedy film".
'Ghanchakkar' is slated for a June 28 release.
