The couple tied the knot in a hush-hush traditional Tamil wedding today early in the morning
By the time you read this, Vidya Balan and Siddharth Roy Kapoor will already have been declared man and wife. Contrary to reports the wedding took place at Green Gifts bungalow at Bandra and all guests were informed about the venue at last moment.

Like all Tamil brides, Vidya wore a nine-yard Kanjivaram saree, probably gifted by her mother-in-law. It is possible that this saree too was designed by the actress’ favourite designer Sabyasachi. She also wore delicately designed traditional South Indian gold jewellery along with some of her mother Saraswati’s ancestral baubles. The wedding was planned to commence as early as 4.45 am or 5 am and would take an hour.
According to sources, Vidya is said to be excited about flaunting toe rings on both her feet after the actual ceremony like all newly-wed brides. She will also sport the thaali, a woven yellow thread with small photographs of Lord Balaji and his consort Ambana.u00a0Vidya and Siddharth are expected to have played a timeless wedding ritual that involves searching for a ring in a bucket of milk and water. We believe congratulations are in order!

No one from Siddharth Roy Kapoor’s company UTV has been invited to the much hyped wedding.
After their quiet wedding, the couple intends to send sweets to industrywalas.
The wedding venue has been kept under wraps and even close friends were to be told at the last minute to keep the media at bay.
The ceremony is expected to have taken place in authentic South Indian style and the Vadhyayar (the priest) has been sworn to secrecy.
Even close friends of the couple like filmmakers Milan Luthria, Ekta Kapoor and Rajkumar Gupta were clueless about the wedding.

December 2010: Love blossomed between Siddharth and Vidya when the former’s production company was working on No One Killed Jessica. The news of their romance leaked in the media even before the film hit the theatres.
February 2011: Though the lovebirds kept denying the many media reports, they were spotted in Goa relaxing on the Baga beach.
