New Delhi: Star Indian boxer Vijender Singh's second professional bout against Englishman Dean Gillen was yesterday rescheduled from October 30 in London to November 7 in Dublin due to technical reasons.

"My bout has been rescheduled for November 7 due to some technical reasons," Vijender told PTI from London without specifying the exact reasons.

The development was also confirmed by his India-based promoters IOS Boxing Promotions. After a smashing debut in which he knocked out Brit Sonny Whiting in Manchester,
Vijender will face Gillen in his second bout which was originally scheduled for October 30 in London.

Gillen made his pro debut in May this year with a points win over Shaun White and followed that up in September with a points win over Lewis Van Poetsch.

The fight between Vijender and Gillen also represents a 'Battle of the Badges', with the Indian being a Deputy Superintendent of Police in Haryana and Gillen a firefighter serving in Nottingham.

As an amateur, Gillen's highlight was to win the 2013 World Police and Fire Fighter Games in Belfast, where he knocked out all of his opponents to claim the gold medal and now he aims to extinguish Singh's fire in the ring.
