One of the most talented filmmakers of Bollywood, Vipul Shah is all set to helm Namastey Canada. The rom-com reunites the superhit jodi of Arjun Kapoor and Parineeti Chopra, who were last seen together in Ishaqzaade (2012).

After wielding the directorial baton for Action Replayy (2010), Shah had shifted his focus to production. He produced several films under his banner, the last being Vidyut Jamwwal-starrer Commando 2 (2017). However, excited by the script of Namastey Canada, he decided to go behind the camera once again.

While rumours suggest that Namastey Canada is a sequel to Shah's runaway hit Namastey London (2007), truth is it bears no connection to the Akshay Kumar-Katrina Kaif starrer.

Shah has joined hands with Jayantilal Gada of PEN India for Namastey Canada. To be shot in Punjab and Canada, the film will be jointly produced by Shah, Dhaval Gada and Akshay Gada, and will be presented by PEN India. The rom-com will hit screens on December 7, 2018.
