Bollywood has always been one of India's biggest exports and with Priyanka Chopra, Dhanush and other stars making it big in the West, we are certainly going places. And talking of going places, Bollywood recently was the star at an unlikely location -- the 2016 European Figure Skating Championships in Bratislava, the capital of Slovakia.

Sochi Olympic ice skating champions, Tatiana Volosozhar and Maxim Trankov, the married couple who are two-time Olympic winners, three-time Russian National champions, and four-time European champions, decided to go the Bollywood way for their routine. The duo performed on the 'Nagada Sang Dhol' song from Sanjay Leela Bhansali's 2013 film 'Goliyon Ki Rasleela Ram-Leela'. They did their high triple twists, side by side triple Salchows, a throw triple flip and level-four spin and death spirals in rhythm to the beat of the Gujarati garba song.

The pair, which was also dressed in an Indian themed costume, scored the highest points and won the gold medal in the Short Pair programme -- their fourth at the European event.
This isn't the first time a Bollywood song has been used to impress the judges. In 2010, American skating champions Meryl Davis and Charlie White performed to the song 'Kajra re' from 'Bunty aur Babli' and the video went viral.

So from being a regular feature on the dance reality show 'So You Think You Can Dance', Bollywood's upbeat songs seem to be permeating into different areas of the Western world.
