India's Test captain Virat Kohli is set to host a charity auction and dinner on June 3 at Mumbai's Hyatt Regency hotel to raise funds for Smile Foundation, a NGO that works towards the cause of empowering underprivileged children and youth.
The 27-year-old has also invited his other famous cricket friends to be part of the gala night, where some significant cricket memorabilia will be up for grabs.
Kohli's Royal Challengers Bangalore teammate Chris Gayle has confirmed his participation at the event that will see Kohli's bat with which he scored his first Twenty20 hundred along with some luxury watches, pens and other personal items belonging to him and his cricketer friends going under the
"The soul behind this initiative is to raise awareness and support the cause of education and skill training for the thousands of under privileged children and youth in India. This initiative is to give them an opportunity to learn, equipping them to face challenges and preparing them to be tomorrow's leaders," Kohli said.
