It wasn't just the Feroze Shah Kotla that got excited during the close Delhi vs Rajasthan match yesterday.

Wankhede roared too as the final moments of the clash were telecast on giant screens here.

The crowd, rooting for Rajasthan’s Mumbai lad Ajinkya Rahane, was disappointed though as his 64-ball 84 went in vain after Owais Shah was run out off the last ball with one run to get for a tie.

Sangakkara not in Deccan's best XI

Meanwhile, Deccan Chargers surprised everyone when skipper Kumar Sangakkara did not take the field and stand-in captain Cameron White came for the toss.

White said: “Sangakkara and Darren Lehmann (coach) thought they selected the best XI.” The Sri Lankan’s poor form in IPL-V — 83 runs in five games — would have led to his omission. u00a0
