Headquarter I DCP S L Sardesh Pande clarified, "Our QRT officers are well prepared, the advertisement has been put up only to provide our men special guidance from commandos or army officials who may have participated in cases such as the attack on the Parliament or the Akshardham terror situation."
Pune currently has eight QRT teams comprising one officer and 11 members each. According to sources, the team members are trained to handle the state of art weapons such as MP5 and AK45 and Glock pistols.
Initially the team members were given target-practice once a month, but now they will be made to practice once a week, the source added.
