'Wanted to show my kids their dad's killer'
"I wanted to show my children the person who killed their father on that fateful day.
I have therefore brought my two children to the court room to hear the court verdict,” said Nandini, the widow of Milind Gaikwad, who was killed after the auto rickshaw he was travelling in was knocked down Mane near Sarasbaug.
Nandini, who along with her two children Sejal and Soham, demanded that Mane should be awarded capital punishment.
The father of another victim Puja Patil (19), Bhaurao Patil, said that the killer should be given capital punishment as that is the only punishment which would bring justice to the victims and the injured people. “Several people work more than 12 hours a day, but that doesn’t mean they go on a killing spree,” he said.
