Aussie batting sensation David Warner may have failed with the willow against the Indians in the tour match, but his New South Wales (NSW) teammate Daniel Smith believes he is currently the best in the world nevertheless.
Smith was speaking to Fox Sports about the first match of the Big Bash League in which Warner smashed an unbeaten 100 of 55 balls for his side Sydney Thunder to steer them to victory. "He's the best player in the world at the moment," Smith said, going on to declare: "If he's not, you tell me who is?"
"He's just phenomenal and has taken the game to another level. He'll dominate international cricket for the next 10 to 15 years and Boxing Day will be the beginning," he added.
