Nawab, who is a reporter with 92 News Channel, was manhandled at Karachi Cantt Station with his team by railway officials and the police while reporting on the alleged scalping of train tickets, according to reports in Pakistani media.

A video of the incident was posted on social media showing Nawab ducking as at least two men try to hit him while several policemen stand as silent witnesses nearby and has gone viral.

Nawab's news channel said that Sindh minister Nisar Khuhro had taken note of the incident and ordered an inquiry. It added that it had brought the incident to the notice of Pakistan Railway Minister Khawaja Saad Rafique.

The police, meanwhile, alleged that Nawab had misbehaved with the officials and asserted that there was no ticket scalping taking place at Karachi railway station.

'Bajrangi Bhaijaan' star Salman Khan and director Kabir Khan, meanwhile, have condemned the incident with Salman even calling up Nawab.

Nawab became an Internet sensation six years ago after a video emerged of him recording a piece at a railway station. The video showed Nawab being constantly interrupted by commuters, who were going travelling for the Eid holidays, walking across the camera, making him flub his line and forcing him to keep repeating them.
