"We have to put put our egos aside and sacrifice ourselves for the team," said Tevez.
"If that means that I don't get two or three goals myself then so be it.
"This is a World Cup and we are here to win as a team not for one individual to make the front page," added the former Manchester United favourite who crossed over to Manchester City last season.
