“The whole team is doing really well in all three departments. We are the top fielding side in world cricket as of now; we need to keep the intensity up,” said Dhoni after India beat their arch-rivals by eight wickets here at Edgbaston to finish top of Group B. India caused two outstanding run-outs of Pakistani batsmen during the match.

Apart from that, the skipper took a good low catch to dismiss dangerman Mohammad Hafeez for 27 off Bhuvneshwar Kumar.

Pakistan’s ninth wicket — Junaid Khan — witnessed a classic fielding effort from Virat Kohli who effected a direct throw. All these efforts will please fielding coach Trevor Penny, whom the late Pakistan coach Bob Woolmer rated very highly as a fielder.
