Q. Tell us a bit about 364 Days of Transformation. Why did you decide to pen this book?
A. We only celebrate a few important days in our life, like our birthday and anniversary, etc. I wanted to highlight how we should make everyday special. The continuous transformation of life is an equally important aspect and transformation can be done in simple ways. There is a section in the book where we have invited feedback from the readers to send their story of transformation. The winning entries would get a chance to participate in a workshop on transformation.

Q. Please give some tips on how people can stay happy during stressful periods.
A. The first thing one must do is to start experimenting, adding variety to life and exposing oneself to newer things. Read the newspaper and write down things you find interesting. Be more expressive and spend time with family. Make impromptu plans to meet friends. Choose your words carefully and avoid negative emotions and conversations.
Q. Your son, Aumkar, has also written a book, The Magical Newspaper and Other Stories. What is your opinion about the book?
A. My son’s book (he is a class 8 student) has been well-received. We found that he is interested in writing and writes well so we encouraged him to write a book and he was happy to do that. Children should be given the freedom to choose what they want to do in life and they will themselves learn how to handle things.
