Gear up for a weekend that is choc-a-bloc with wine, dance, music and food

Are you tired of the week already and feel another boring weekend looming up?u00a0

Then it's time to shake things up a bit. You will be spoiled for choice at the number of events lined up this weekend in the city. Here's a round up of all that is exciting.

It's Gonna be a Good Good Year

Why whine? When you can wine. The wine gods are blessing the city this weekend at the Bangalore International Wine Festival 2010.

As an old Anglo-Saxon saying goes "Good wine carrieth a man to heaven". This is your chance to go to heaven right here in the city.

At this action-packed festival organised under the umbrella of the Karnataka Wine Board and the Karnataka Tourism, you can learn all you've ever wanted to about wine by attending seminars on wine tasting, production, culture and even stomp on slushy grapes to your hearts content exactly like the real deal.

This is the second installment of the Karnataka Wine Festival organised first organised in 2009 as a reaction to Karnataka state's decision to develop wine as an industry and its establishment of the country's first wine board, in 2007.

But before you get all tipsy on good ol' vino, there's more for your hedonistic pleasures.

u00a0Models will walk the ramp for designers Amita Sharma and Sounak Senbarat at a fashion show.

And where there's wine, can dancing be far behind. DJs: Goapu, Akshay, Harsha, and Andy will be on standby to work their magic on the crowd.
