Sachin Tendulkar is an icon, a cricket legend and a Bharat Ratna awardee. Shah Rukh Khan is an icon, a Bollywood superstar and hearthrob for millions.
So what do the two have in common?
Well, geographically a lot. After all, both are Mumbaikars and more precisely Bandra residents. But not a lot beyond that. Right?
Well the duo do seem to have something else in common. They two are car afficianados and have great collection. The two also have the same supercar in their garage.

Shah Rukh Khan recently was spotted zipping around Bandra in a spanking new but unfamiliar car — it had a Haryana number plate sans his lucky digits 555. It's his latest possession. The white car is a BMW i8, which Tom Cruise’s character was seen driving in the 2011 film 'Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol'.
A source had at the time said, "Shah Rukh has several fancy wheels, but his favourite is his BMW 7-series in which he always travels. Recently, he bought the latest model of the luxury automaker and its cost is pegged at around Rs 3.3 crore."

The BMW i8 is a luxury hybrid car, which runs electrically as well as on fuel. It is a two-door four-seater and can go from 0 kmph to 100 kmph in a matter of just 4.4 seconds. "Soon after it reached him, SRK took his new toy out for a ride and was followed around by fans. He has now applied for a Maharashtra number plate bearing 555," added the source.
Tendulkar too has the same car in his garage. Some time back in an interview, Sachin had said that this was the "best handling car" he had driven in his life." Sachin is the brand ambassador of BMW, but he refuted that his praise for the car was because of that. He said, "People might say that I am their brand ambassador and that’s why I am saying this. But I’ve had some serious cars – among friends, we’ve owned Ferraris, Lamborghinis, Porsches, Audis, Mercedes, whatever. Straight line, I mean, any car would handle well. But the corners with the i8 are just phenomenal. It’s literally like a go-kart."

Do you think Vidhu Vinod Chopra is planning a sequel to "Ferrari Ki Sawaari" now?
