The play is a life portrayal of Meera, who was a devotee of Lord Krishna since childhood. She was by conviction wedded to Him. Meera spent her life praying, meditating, singing and dancing in love for Lord Krishna. The play highlights this soulful and dramatic journey, portraying the philosophy by which Meera lived. Understanding Theatre -- From Script to Stage is a week-long intensive theatre workshop that will be conducted by eminent theatre personalities including Waman Kendre, Salim Arif and Atul Tiwari.

Waman Kendre is a theatre director, teacher and practitioner in the Indian theatre scene. Salim Arif is a graduate in Direction and Design from the National School of Drama. Atul Tiwari has been actively writing and directing for theatre, films and television in different parts of India and the world.

and Hussaini Dawawalla The performance includes three different observational, humorous and slightly sarcastic pieces. Scenario 1: Multiplex Vs Single Screen Theatre: A person compares his multiplex movie viewing experience to old single screen movie viewing.

This is an observational piece. Scenario 2: Interview With A Thief: An infamous thief is interviewed by a well-known TV host. In the course of their conversation, we come across the inner and outer world of the thief and his life. Scenario 3: Let's Do Something New: A young, aspiring theatre writer and a performer are trying hard to come up with a piece they should enact for the NCPA platform performance.

They discuss Gujarati theatre, its style of writing, limitations, processes and the opportunity of creating something which can be called New Age Theatre.
