Watch Pune-based Electric Funk Rock band USP launch their latest CD, Boots and Cat, amidst trippy visuals, in Pune
Swig is hosting Wednesday Night Live featuring local music band -- USP. Expect a power-packed performance by the band combined with trippy live visuals by AlienVision to launch their new album, Boots and Cat.

USP specialises in Electric Funk Rock and is influenced by Rock and Blues, Funk and Alternative sounds. The band comprises Arika Silaichia (vocals), Vishal Gore (guitar plus vocals), Ayushman Datta Gupta (bass) and Abhishek Debsikdar (drums).
Silaichia has worked in a few indie films, and in theatre. On the other hand, Gore divides his time between being a bass player for Smokestack and performing for USP. Gupta is known for combining Jazz harmonies with danceable world-grooves and Electronica while Debsikdar, who is recently back from the Swarnabhoomi Academy of Music (SAM) in Tamil Nadu, enjoys writing, sleeping and taking long road trips on his bike as much ashis music.
“We will be releasing our three-track record, titled Boots and Cats. We will be playing a mix of our own music and some funky covers across genres including Electric Funk Rock,” says Gore. The best part: hard copies of the CD will be available at the gig. However, there is no fixed price and the audience can pay whatever they feel like (from Rs 1 onwards).
