Make-up artistes took more than half a day to get a bullet mark right for one particular scene in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s upcoming film, Ram Leela.
There was a shot where telly actor Sharad Kelkar, who features in the film, has been shot.
A source present on the sets says, “The make-up alone took half a day because getting the right effect of the blood on Sharad’s body took time. Bhansali being the perfectionist did not okay the shot till everything from the make-up to the performance was perfect.”
Make-up artist Subhash Shinde says, “Yes, it took half a day to finish that one particular shot, the delay was due to no other reason but because it was difficult to get the right effect of blood after each take.”
He adds, “Matching the shades for the entire sequence was quite a task, as the director is particular about the colours he uses in his shots. Also, the continuity had to be maintained throughout the shot.”
