A businessman was robbed in a moving car after giving a lift
Arvind Singh was on his way to his shop in Karol Bagh from his house in Mehrauli. It was around 9:30 pm on Thursday and as he reached near the Palam Flyover he saw a girl waving for a lift.
Little did he know that looks could prove to be deceptive, as it was eunuch dressed like a woman.

He stopped and asked her where she wanted to go. "She told me that she was waiting for an auto and was headed to Mayapuri. As it was on the way to my shop, I agreed," Singh told MiD DAY.
After driving for another 100 meters, he spotted another girl waving at him for a lift. It was again a eunuch posing as a woman. "The first girl told me that she was a friend and requested me to take her along too. I agreed again."
The two eunuchs then forced him to stop the car and overpowered him. "Before I could even react, I was in their grip. They were simply too strong to be women. They snatched my gold chain and Rs 4,500 from my wallet. They also took out my mobile phone," Singh said.
They stopped an auto and fled with the booty. However, Singh recollected himself and raised an alarm. "A nearby PCR van heard my cry and chased the auto."
The cops intercepted the auto only to find two women stepping out of it. The lady constable in the PCR checked them and declared they were eunuchs.
"We were shocked how two women could have robbed Singh. But a woman officer later revealed that they were actually eunuchs. They said their names are Chanda and Gulabo," said a police officer. The eunuchs had a unique modus operandi. They used to dress up like women and speak in a deceptive voice to trap their prey.
"We recovered a gold chain and Rs 4,500 from the eunuchs and sent them to jail," the officer added.
The police are interrogating them to know if they were involved in any othser cases.
