Jacqueline Fernandes was invited to attend an interactive session with British writer and filmmaker Peter James.
The author, however, arrived over an hour late for his own event making the actress walk off from the gathering.

James, a bestselling writer of crime fiction, was in Mumbai to attend a literary festival. The special event held on Thursday was to be graced by the actress as the chief guest.
Says a source, “Jacqueline waited for an hour but left the venue as Peter was extremely late. The event was to start at 6.30 pm and Jacqueline reached the venue on time. She could not wait longer as she was performing at a children’s channel’s awards event at Film City in Goregaon later in the evening.”
Adds the source, “Generally at events where film stars are expected to be present, everyone arrives and the star makes a fashinably late entry. This time Jacqueline arrived on time. She waited in her car for a considerable amount of time, and then left in a huff as it made no sense that the host himself had not arrived for more than an hour.
Jacqueline says, “I was looking forward to the book launch as Peter is a good friend and I am a huge fan of his books. I had to be at another event where I was performing live and after waiting as long as I could, I had to leave. I would have waited for longer time if I did not have another event to attend.”u00a0
...and ruffled a few feathers at a shoot
Jacqueline Fernandez was apparently part of a photoshoot recently for an international fashion chain which will soon make its presence in India. The actress was said to be among several celebrities who have been roped in to promote the apparel brand’s entry. Jackie, however, didn’t seem to be in great mood.
Says a source, “Jacqueline had several issues. She threw a bit of tantrums much to the chagrin of the agency handling the shoot.”
Adds the source, “She had issues with everything at the shoot. She eventually did shoot but after giving a bit of trouble.”
Jacqueline’s spokesperson however maintained that she was not part of the photo shoot for the said brand.
