New Delhi: Sachin Tendulkar's love for mean machines is well known but there was one such instance when his passion for speed ended up giving his wife Anjali "a headache" that lasted one whole day.

"It was some years back in England. The BMW guys gave me one of their limited edition cars to check out. They told me to give them a feedback and said 'Check out the brakes'.

"So I convinced Anjali to come with me for a drive and I really pressed it hard. I won't tell you what speed I was driving. Since they told me to check the brakes, I applied it and it came to halt. Such was the G-force, me and Anjali both felt it and we both had a headache for the entire day. It was an experience I remember," Tendulkar narrated the incident at the inauguration of the Gurgaon centre of 'Smaaash' on Thursday.

Tendulkar bonds with son Arjun over paintball

Cricket may have kept him away from his family for most of his career but now Sachin makes the most of his time by spending it with his children -- son Arjun and daughter Sara.

The legendary cricketer revealed that he spends a lot of time with his son playing paintball, bowling and go-karting.

"I play paintball sometimes because of my son’s demand. My friends and his friends make two teams we play best of three or best of five. It is a real bonding time for our family because at times my daughter Sara also joins in when she takes time out of her own interests," Tendulkar said.

"My son also enjoys bowling and we often visit a bowling alley. Earlier, when I was playing cricket, I did not have much time for my family but now it is about giving quality time to them which I feel is extremely important as it gives me immense satisfaction."
