When the stars come down
2011 is over and the fashion world saw a horde of new changes in the year gone by. The height of the heels grew higher and the hemlines went lower. Blinding sequins in various colours were all over ramps and celebrities abroad and in the country happily shined in them.
However, there was one trend which Hollywood beauties used a lot, but was not at all spotted on the red carpets back home the star print. It all started when Dolce and Gabbana showcased its Autumn Winter line in February last year and camera favourites loved it!
The print was 2011's answer to polka dots. The most common colour in which this print was seen was black and white but celebrities such as Fergie from The Black Eyed Peas and Kim Kardashian dared to wear this print in bright yellow too. Slowly stars were also seen on earrings, neckpieces and peel-on pants.
Celebrities including Jessica Alba, Zoe Saldana, Miley Cyrus and even Hillen Mirren wore this print in various forms from flowy gowns to sequined minis. So, while India ignored this starry surprise why don't you be the first one to don it?
