Vikhroli resident, Meenakshi Sharma (40), committed suicide by lighting fire to herself on Monday night after a fight with her husband Manoj
When her husband tried to save her, he sustained 80 per cent burns to his body and has been admitted to Rajawadi Hospital.
According to Parksite police officials, the couple fought constantly and Manoj often accused Meenakshi of having an affair.
Senior police inspector, Suresh Sakpal, Parksite police station said, “The reason for the suicide is yet to be confirmed but it is believed that the reason would be a fight that the couple had on Monday night. Later, as the brawl went out of control, the wife went inside the room, poured kerosene on herself and burnt herself.”
