The victim was strangulated and his body thrown in a neighbourhood park

The outer Delhi police have arrested a woman and her paramour for killing the woman's husband.u00a0The incident occurred on March 22 in Sultanpuri area.

Police said that the deceased Samar Singh used to object to his wife Beena's illicit relationship with her brother-in-law Ashwani. "Beena then hatched a conspiracy with Ashwani to eliminate her husband. On Tuesday, when Samar was at home, she and Ashwani overpowered him and strangulated him. They then threw the body in a park near the house," said DCP (Outer District), Chhaya Sharma.

A passer-by informed the police about the body.u00a0 During investigation, police questioned relatives and neighbours of the deceased and found that Beena was having an illicit relationship with her brother-in-law and the deceased used to beat her up on this.

"Beena was then questioned by the police and she gave contradictory statements. This further strengthened the police's suspicion about her and when theyu00a0 questioned her again, she broke down and confessed about her involvement in the murder. Ashwani was later arrested by police," said a police official. Police said that Samar used to paint cars and other big vehicles and Ashwani used to visit Beena when Samar would be away at work.
