One of the most awaited national corporate golfing events of the season, The TAKE Solutions World Corporate Golf Challenge will tee off from the Oxford Golf Club on December 3 and 4.
This multi-city corporate event is the only corporate golfing event in the country which gives Indian corporate teams a unique opportunity to represent their country in the annual World Golf Championship of corporate teams. The event comprises of three stages -- Regional qualifiers, The National Final and the World Final.
The 16th edition of the event in India grows bigger and grander with two additional cities added to this Corporate Golf challenge -- Chandigarh and Kolkata, for the first ever time. Mumbai qualifiers at Oxford Golf Club, Pune on Dec 3rd -- 4th, 2011; will be followed by Delhi qualifiers at Golden Greens Golf Club on Dec 10-11; Eastern qualifiers at Tollygunge golf club on Dec 17; followed by southern qualifiers at Kodaikanal Golf Club on December 29 and concluding with Bangalore qualifiers at Eagleton Golf Resort on January 20-21.
The tournament kick started last week in Chandigarh at Panchkula Golf Course. Thailand Tourism, and Lebua Hotels and Resorts have jointly come together to host the National Final of the event at Thailand for the second consecutive year.
Two top winning teams from Chandigarh qualify themselves to play in the Delhi qualifiers on Dec 11. Two top winning teams from each of the day of the regional rounds go on to compete at the National Final on April 10-11 2012 to grab the top spot and win themselves a once in a life time opportunity to represent India at the world championship being held at an exotic golf destination. The World Corporate Golf Challenge, World Final is scheduled to be held in May at the beautiful Garden Route district of South Africa.
The Garden Route is the golfing Mecca of South Africa, and has become a destination in itself. The World Finals have been held annually since 1994 at the exclusive La Manga Club in Spain apart from one edition each in Jamaica, Mauritius and Kuala Lumpur. India started participating since 1999.
