The German started 2016 by winning the Australian Open, her first major, but said she initially struggled with her new level of success, making an early exit at France's Roland Garros.
"(French Open) was the first Grand Slam after my biggest win and I was not able to deal with pressure and everything. But I learnt a lot, (from) the loss in Paris," said Kerber, who found her second wind later, reaching the Wimbledon finals and the Rio Olympics before winning the US Open and capturing the No 1 ranking from Serena Williams.
