Mumbai-based Aditya Mehta has won his first round match at the World Professional Snooker Championships at Sheffield against Andrew Pagget of Wales.

With this win, Aditya has become the first Indian to win a match at the World Championships in a decade. World No 82 Aditya trailed for almost the entire match in the best of 19 format, but managed to close out the match 10-8.u00a0
