Supporters of prominent politicians like Gopinath Munde and Poonam Mahajan of the BJP and former CM Vilasrao Deshmukh of the Congress have been frequenting the area to meet their leaders.
Said Nirja Shaa, a resident, "At least four to five tea and pav bhaji stalls have come up on the stretch of the road that borders the buildings where these leaders live.

"The footpath and the road are strewn with plastic cups and leftovers, and it is becoming increasingly difficult to walk on the filthy road. You will not find a single clean-up marshal in the area," said Shaa.
Residents say the BMC G-South Ward has not taken any action despite receiving a a complaint from residents.

However, we were told by a BMC officer that it is extremely difficult to remove the stalls because politicians want them around to feed their supporters," said Shaa.
When contacted the G South assistant commissioner S V Gadhkari said, "I have received the complaint. We will look into the matter."
