"I think yesterday's win was a huge win and the confidence we take from that (the win) is massive," the 25-year-old player said here yesterday ahead of the team's practice session at the Wankhede stadium.

Roy had blasted a quickfire half century to guide England to a six-wicket win over New Zealand in a keenly-contested match as they chased a competitive 169 put on the board by the Kiwis.

'Enjoying the environment'
"It was a great start for myself and the team. Obviously it was good to put some stuff I've been working on in practice into a match, always good to get out there and spend time with Halesy (Alex Hales) as well. I've been enjoying the environment and working hard as well," he said.

When asked whether Liam Dawson was a third spin option for the side, he opined, "That's obviously an option for us. That's up to the captain and the coaches to decide." The Eoin Morgan-led side take on a local team today in another warm up match at the Brabourne Stadium.
