WWE SmackDown Live had another epic show with their main event match between AJ Styles and James Ellsworth in a Ladder match for the latter to earn a contract on the SmackDown roster

WWE SmackDown Live had another epic show with their main event match between AJ Styles and James Ellsworth in a Ladder match for the latter to earn a contract on the SmackDown roster.


James Ellsworth, who was the mascot for SD Live at Survivor Series 2016, earlier took a beating from the WWE world champion AJ Styles, but Dean Ambrose, who was banned from ringside, appeared in a hockey jersey and fought AJ Styles. Styles hit Ambrose with the Phenomenal Forearm. Later, Ellsworth went to throw Styles off the ladder onto the ground and hit him with No Chin Music to climb the ladder and earn his new contract.


Intercontinental champion the Miz defended his title against Kalisto. Miz hit the Skull Crushing finale on Kalisto after Baron Corbin interrupted the match, to retain his title. He was later Superkicked by Dolph Ziggler. The Miz will now face Dolph Ziggler in a ladder match at Tables, Ladders and Chairs pay-per-view event.

In a tag team turmoil match American Alpha defeated the Usos to emerge victorious. But The Wyatt Family appeared an announced a match with Randy Orton and Bray Wyatt against American Alpha next week.

Baron Corbin later faced Kane in a match set by Daniel Bryan. Kalisto attacked Corbin to cause a disqualification. Kane hit the Chokeslam on Corbin and later Kalisto spin kicked a chair into Corbin's face.

Becky Lynch defeated Natalya with Alexa Bliss in the commentary box. Lynch took out Natalys with the Dis-arm-her. Alexa Bliss will face Becky Lynch at TLC for the SmackDown Live's women's title. Nikki Bella also challenged her rival Carmella to a No-disqualification match at TLC.
