A 19-year-old man who was hit with a stump on Sunday after a petty quarrel between two cricket teams died late on Tuesday night.
Nikhil Gade, a resident of Kadaba Mandai, Jaan Mohammed Street, is survived by his parents and a younger brother. After the news of his death, Cantonment residents gathered at Jaan Mohammed Street last afternoon to console his father Ramesh Gade, who is a supporter of political outfit.
Gade was admitted to a private hospital with head injuries. Two brothers from the opponent team, Rahul (26) and Kamlesh Kale (24), who allegedly beat him were arrested.
Yesterday the police also apprehended a minor in the case. The Kales were produced in court and remanded in police custody till November 26. PI Ajit Khadake (Crime) said, "The third suspect is a minor and will be produced before the Juvenile Justice court."
