On January 13, hitlist had reported that Guneet Monga was no longer producing Hawaizaada and that Vishal Gurnani, of Trilogic Digital Media Limited, was now helming the project's production.

But if sources are to be believed, the latest development is that only Reliance is producing the film along with director, Vibhu Puri. "Vishal chose to walk out of the project because the director went over budget with the film," says the source.

The first schedule of the film, which stars Ayushmann Khurana, has been shot in Mumbai, while the second one was shot in Rajkot, Gujarat.

Starring Ayushmann Khurrana and Pallavi Sharda, the film, that was previously titled Bombay Fairytale, is a biopic of scientist Shivkar Bapuji Talpade, who is believed to have built and flown India's first unmanned airplane in 1985, eight years before the Wright brothers.

When contacted, Vishal Gurnani refuted the story saying, "It's not true and I am very much a part of the film." Shibashish Sarkar, CFO, Reliance Entertainment, too points out that Vishal's company, Trilogic, is producing the film.

"Reliance is also involved with the project on a daily basis. Ninety percent of the shooting is over and we will start shooting the remaining portion this month itself."
