Paresh Parmar hanged himself from the ceiling of the toilet yesterday, DCP (Detection), Dhananjay Kulkarni said.
The incident came to light late last night when a house keeping staff found the body hanging from the water pipe inside the washroom, Kulkarni said, adding the staffer immediately informed police.
Parmar was an auto-rickshaw driver and a resident of Ankleshwar district in Gujarat and had come to Mumbai two days ago.
A suicide note was also recovered from the spot in which Parmar stated that he was taking the extreme step over a tiff with his mother.
