A 17-year-old youth fell into a river when the train he was commuting by was passing through Harris Bridge in Khadaki on yesterday afternoon.

The victim identified as Afiruddin Ansari, a resident of Pimpri, is feared drowned and could not be traced till late in the evening by fire brigade personnel.u00a0


As per the information given by Khadaki police station, the youth was travelling with his younger brother on a Pune-bound local train when he lost his grip and, as he was standing near the doorway, fell into the river.


The rescue operation will resume today morning. u00a0
