“I immediately informed my neighbours and they took him to Rajawadi hospital, where he passed away,” Azrah said.
Turns out, 28-year-old Firoz Ahmed had been stabbed to death with a pair of scissors by his 20-year-old brother Mushir at their residence. The incident occurred around 9.30 pm on Monday.
Mushir was unhappy with his brother’s decision of accepting a contract from a Dharavi-based company for making shirts. Firoz tried convincing him that the job would bring in some much-needed earnings for the family. But Mushir was adamant.
There was a brawl. Mushir left the place only to return a little later. He immediately picked up the scissors and stabbed Firoz thrice on the chest.
When Mushir realised what he had done, he locked himself in a room and tried to commit suicide.
But the police arrived in time and apprehended him. “We have arrested Mushir under section 302 of Indian Penal Code. Further investigation is on,” said SG Rajput, senior inspector of Mankhurd police station.u00a0
