A YSR Congress activist was today arrested for allegedly posting "irresponsible" comments on a social networking site on cyclone Hudhud which hit the North Andhra Pradesh coast earlier this month

Hyderabad: A YSR Congress activist was today arrested for allegedly posting "irresponsible" comments on a social networking site on cyclone Hudhud which hit the North Andhra Pradesh coast earlier this month.


C Rahul Reddy, a final year student of Bachelor of Law course, posted "irresponsible" anti-people comments on Facebook after the natural disaster hit the region, Additional Director General (CID) Dwarka Tirumala Rao said.


Rahul Reddy, who is associated with YSRCP's student wing and is a resident of Guntur district, posted the comments on
his Facebook profile on October 12, Rao added.


Earlier, a complaint was received on October 15 in connection with some comments posted on social networking
websites regarding the calamity. S Uday Kumar, a resident of Sainkpuri here, was arrested and remanded in judicial custody on October 18 in connection with the case, the officer said.
