“We agree that most of the issues the teachers are fighting for are genuine and want the issue to be sorted. But, teachers cannot hold students for ransom. If they don’t come back to work and correct the papers, we will tackle the issue in our style,” said the young leader.
He added that both teachers and students need to fight together and that his party would support them. “If any student is being harassed, we will stand with them. We understand the problems the teachers are facing but they shouldn’t trouble students in this fashion,” he added.
