Since his successful fight against cancer, India cricketer Yuvraj Singh seems quite a changed man

Yuvraj Singh is more in control of his emotions, he is not celebrating wickets or runs the way a young and brash Yuvraj would do, and in his own words, just respects life a lot more

Yesterday’s post match press conference once again saw the sensitive side of the man from Punjab, when he dedicated the man-of-the-match award to the girl who was raped in a moving bus in New Delhi earlier this week. “Honestly guys, the reason I have come here is to dedicate this award to the girl who was raped in a bus in Delhi,” a visibly emotional Yuvi said.

“It’s really sad what has happened. The entire team is concerned about the girl’s health. I am not sure how she is right now, the entire country is praying for her well being. I have been reading a lot about her, and it’s very disturbing. I really want to dedicate this award to the girl and her parents. We just hope such a thing never ever happens again.”

Yuvraj was philosophical when asked about “being unlucky in Test cricket.”

“I feel lucky to be alive. The England Test series is a thing of the past now. I am proud to be playing for India again, be it Tests or one-dayers or T20, I am just happy to be playing,” the left-handed batsman said.
