Having recently launched a production company with industry buddies and gearing up for a Rom-Com, the actor says that he's falling in love all over again with his trade, this Valentine's Day. He talks to CS about the two loves of his lifeu00a0-- Mallaika (wife) and acting:

I've done a lot of action adventure and slapstick films, so I thought I would get back to romancing heroines. Besides, my fans had been complaining that I wasn't doing enough of the mushy stuff. So now, I'm going to be taking a break from all the action and do something lighter. Moreover, I'm not growing any younger and I find it hard to get out of bed every morning, leave alone doing difficult stunts (laughs).

The Bollywood love stories are becoming more realistic. It is good that many recent films have touched upon break-ups, because they're a reality of life. Let's face it, youngsters do have issues and here we are taking an interesting mature angle on things that we tend to be melodramatic about.
Scripts are always inspired by life, as dramatic as they may be. Even I have a rather dramatic love story that has all the makings of a good film. In fact, it was Mallaika who proposed to me. I used to be so shy that I couldn't even make eye contact with her.
I left for London and missed her so much that I would be constantly doodling in my books. I remember, it was her prom night and I flew down to India to be with her. She was walking the red carpet with this guy, and when she saw me, she left him stranded there and ran into my arms. The poor guy must have felt like a complete jackass. I asked her principal if I could take her out and he said yes. Then there was no looking back.u00a0u00a0
Love struck
I still haven't been able to comprehend the meaning of love, though. There are friends in my life that I'm not in touch with. But I love them still the same. You don't always have to share happy times with people to be able to love them. It's quite a complex phenomenon actually.
Though Mallaika has done well to make me understand how the emotion works. You won't believe, we have some six anniversariesu00a0-- the day she proposed to me, the day I proposed, then when I re-proposed (since we'd broken up briefly) the day we got married et al. And unlike most men, I remember all the dates (laughs).
