Celina Jaitley makes waves
By:

Former Miss India Celina Jaitley who is being launched by flamboyant filmmaker Feroz Khan seems to be rather upset that she is making waves in the media clad for her skimpy outfit in a sizzling scene shot in sea for Janasheen . No, I dont have double standards, but then audiences should also know that I play an intense, challenging role of a staunch Catholic girl who is a visually-impaired violinist.

And the bikini scene, which is only for a few seconds, is a hero Fardeen Khans dream sequence. Otherwise I have worn pretty decent outfits throughout my debut movie. Moreover Khansaab has shot the bikini scene very aesthetically, clarifies Celina who hates the dare-bare girl tag.

Paani Paani Re: Celina Jaitley in JanasheenCurrently the Janasheen girl is shooting with ex-cricketer Ajay Jadeja for this thriller movie Kashish . There was no truth in the wild rumours that this film is shelved. In fact Sunny Deol is being finalised for this project which is now being co-produced by my co-star Suniel Shetty along with the original producer Pammi Sandhu. For the past few days I have been shooting for them.

And I must say Jadeja is a terrific natural actor, discloses the shapely Jaitley who basically belongs to a fauji family. Originally I wanted to become an Air Force officer but my career, I guess, was destined to take-off into showbiz, she laughs.

Scene-stealer Bali-wood blonde

In its bid to be outrageously different, Kaante has generated mixed reports from both audiences and the cine-trade. While some have dismissed the crime-thriller as a scriptless roller-coaster taking you for a ride, the rest feel that it is a technically slick, daring deviation from the formula fare with all 40-plus heroes and no mushy teenage romance for a change.

Whatever the final audience verdict, that will be evident in the weeks to come, one character that has caught the fancy of the masses is the blonde-haired, stammering character of the drug peddlar Bali, played by the otherwise maverick director Mahesh Manjrekar.

While the rest of the regular heroes in the cast were saddled with their star-image, I guess I was the surprise package in the film with a different firang look and the stuttering mannerisms and his sex-obsessed idiosyncrasies, says Manjrekar. Incidentally, Manjrekar sported this blonde look even before he had signed Kaante .

Actually director Sanjay Gupta wanted me to work with him as an actor in some other movie with Sanjay Dutt. But after seeing me in this new hairstyle I guess he decided that he had found his Bali, smiles the Vaastav director who is now playing a mad-villainish character in Pran Jaaye Par Shaan Na Jaaye and the freak-out funny character of Yadav in this movie Padmashree Laloo Prasad Yadav.
