Last year, Amisha Patel celebrated her birthday in Italy with friends. This year, she’s closer home and is doing it in style. The actress, who celebrates her birthday today, says her close friends have made it extra special this year. “I love birthdays, and all my close friends know how excited I get around this time of the year. This time, it was a week-long celebration with each of my friends sending me one gift each day,” she says. So among her many presents are a fancy bottle of pink champagne, a pair of Louis Vuitton shoes and a new cell phone. As for her plans for the special day, she says, “I’m shooting for an international ad film with my favourite director – Priyadarshan. What better way to celebrate your birthday than work!” When asked how old she is turning, Amisha cheekily says, “Darling, I am eternally 16!”

Ekta Kapoor’s recent choice of clothes has us puzzled. It’s not that she’s got a bad body so why she puts on dowdy clothes to hide her body is beyond us. That apart, she seems to have a serious problem wearing innerwear. Once again, the Balaji czarina is without the helpful support, instead resorting to ‘nip tucks’ to cover up.
