After EMI which is about the recovery of bank loans, Popcorn and Balaji go into Mission Istanbul which is being shot in Turkey in collaboration with the Turkish government.” Special appearance Mission Istanbul stars Sunil Shetty (breaking his unwritten rule of not acting in self-produced films), Vivek Oberoi, Zayed Khan, character-actor Pankaj Dheer’s son Nikitan and Shreya Saran. “Abhishek Bachchan is making a special appearance in Mission Istanbul,” says Popcorn’s well-placed source. “And the film is introducing the Nivea girl Miss India Shweta Bhardwaj.” The effort for the Balaji-Popkorn alliance is to create a hotbed of new talent. And I presume she’s as comfortable with me as I’m with her. So we’re tying up for as many films as we both want to.” The fiesta of films bringing together Sunil’s Popkorn Motion Pictures Pvt Ltd and Ekta’s Balaji Motion Pictures is expected to stretch at least into the next decade. Says Ekta, “I love Sunil’s style of working. Very above-board decent and clean. Yeah we plan to work on unlimited projects.” | ||
