Mujhe Mat Roko: Atif Aslam Pakistani singer Atif Aslam created a spectacle of himself at a recent rock show in Dubai. He was so insecure about performing after compatriot Mustafa Zahid (of the Roxen band) on stage that he insisted  he perform first for a greater period of time. Well known Both Atif and Mustafa were introduced as playback singers in Bollywood by filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt. Atif is best known for chartbusters like Woh Lamhe in Zeher, Aadat in Kalyug and Tere Bin in Bas Ek Pal. His album Doorie was released by Tips.  Mustafa sang To Phir Aao and Tera Mera Rishta from Awarapan. Atif was performing at the Desi Beats 2007 concert last Friday at the Aviation Club, Dubai. The other performers included Jazzy B, Sona and Streben. Refused Says a source, “The crowd was cheering for the Roxen band and for their chartbusters from Awarapan. But Atif refused to leave the stage leaving Roxen barely any time to perform. While Atif performed for over half an hour, Roxen could perform for only 20 minutes.” It is learnt that Atif and his attitude have become a major source of consternation for many in the music industry, coupled with the fact that Mustafa is the new blue-eyed boy of the Bhatt camp and of the music industry.
