Vashu Bhagnani is working with Riteish Deshmukh on his next film to be directed by David Dhawan.

Not many know that the two share a special bond and a great equation.

Riteish who worked with Bhagnani in Out of Control (2003) returns to work with the producer after a gap of five years.

When Bhagnani went to sign Riteish on with a blank cheque, the actor refused to quote a price and asked the producer to put in any amount he wanted.

Talking about the incident Vashu says, “Amitabh Bachchan is the only other actor who’s done such a gesture.

Riteish is almost like family. I was very touched  when he said I could put even a single rupee on the cheque and sign it.”

Riteish not only refused to accept the blank cheque but also wrote Bhagnani a letter. “He wrote to me saying how he didn’t want to quote an amount and was okay with whatever price I paid him.”

The producer says he was a bit hesitant when he thought of signing up Riteish. “It was a bit awkward approaching Riteish since I was discussing a film with him after five years.

I share a good rapport with Riteish and David Dhawan. They never quote a price or discuss money with me. It’s all done in goodwill.”

Vashu’s film with Riteish also features Govinda and Lara Dutta.
