The music of Shiney Ahuja and Esha Deol starrer Hijack was released yesterday at at BJN Banquet, Fun Republic, yesterday. This film marks the debut of yet another composer-duo Justin-Uday. Director Kunal Shivdasani, praised the pair, "The film revolves around a grave situation, yet it's amazing how we could incorporate different types of songs.
Also the songs have some sort of a continuity attached to the story of the film. I am extremely proud of each person who has worked on this film." Hijack will release on 29th August. Bestaluck, newbies.
Flaunt haunt
On Wednesday evening, Urmila Matondkar along with designer Manish Malhotra was at the launch of Deepi Singh and Marina Jawahar's fabric, furnishings and accessories store, Muslin. The actress flaunted her tattoo (which some may find cool) as well as her bra hook (definitely not cool!)
Baa Bahoo Aur Kat Baby
Television producers J D Majethia and Aatish Kapadia are good pals of filmmaker Vipul Shah. And as part of the promotions of his movie Singh Is Kinng, Katrina Kaif features in an episode of the Star serial. Kat, who recently shot for it, says, "This is the first time I've been part of a soap. Baa Bahoo Aur Baby's theme is in sync with Singh Is Kinng." The actress looked ravishing in an orange sari and also danced on the film's tracks. She even spoke in Gujarati, "Mane bahu majaa ave chhe," to which the whole cast cheered. We'll wait to cheer till she learns to speak some Hindi. And not just a line here and there, samjhi Kat?
Size matters
Shilpa Shetty may be getting an extremely fat amount for anchoring the new season of Bigg Boss on Colors. But the reason she was roped in by the producers (Endemol) was because the first season's host Arshad Warsi asked for a huge fee hike. So instead of paying him more moolah, they decided to rope in the Big Sister. When you are spending mega bucks, might as well get a big (at least bigger) celebrity, no?'
High on make-up
Ameesha Patel can't stop raving about working with international fashion magazine Verve. The actress travelled all the way to France and had the unique opportunity of working with international make-up artists. Ameesha was styled as a runaway bride for the shoot. Talking about her experience, Ameesha says, "I got to work with Jose Sanchez who's done make-up for Sharon Stone and many other Hollywood actors. It was amazing to travel to Paris and other scenic locales for the shoot. I learnt a lot about make-up and other styling tips." Apart from the shoot, Ameesha also got to travel around her favourite haunts. "I never give up on a chance to visit Paris, it's the most romantic city in the world!" Ameesha features in an extensive photoshoot in Verve that will hit stands in coming months.
Rahul's charity act
Rahul Bose had a quiet celebration for his birthday on July 27. Instead of having a party to bring in his birthday, the actor travelled to bomb-stricken Ahmedabad and did relief work there. The actor worked with local NGOs and helped families of victims. An act that surely must be applauded.
Trying too hard?
Salman is leaving no stone unturned to get back in Kat's good books. According to sources, Katrina became the brand ambassador of Nakshatra due to Salman. An insider reveals, "Katrina is not aware of this deal. Meanwhile, Sallu is trying to be at his best and do everything possible to get things back to normal and have a healthy relationship once again."
