After the song 'Jinke Marina' from Nanda Nanditha became a super hit, music composer Emil became choosy about his next project. Rejecting many proposals, he finally gave the green signal to Dayal's next project Circus, that has Ganesh as the hero.
Rock to continue
"Yes, I am composing music for Circus. I have also signed two other films for this year. After Circus, there's a film called Yogi starring actor Yogi and then, Dinesh Babu's film starring Komal in the lead role. I hadn't expected my composition to do so well on the charts. I was in Kerala when one of my friends called from Bangalore and said that Nanda Nanditha had completed 100 days and my songs were ruling the roost. I was really thrilled. It was then that Ganesh, a good friend, asked me to compose music for Circus," says Emil.
Young achiever
Emil had already worked with music composer Jassie Gift as an assistant, when he was in the ninth standard. And now, he is working as a sound engineer with A R Rahman.
Despite creating many melodious tracks, Emil wasn't offered films that were appealing.
"It was producer Vijay Kumar who gave me a break in the film industry. I took more than three to four months to compose all the songs. Since it was my first film I didn't want the music to appear immature. So, I worked really hard to make sure that I got the right tune. For Circus I am going to do the same," says Emil.
