Together no more: Inder Kumar and Eesha Koppikar

Though nursing a broken heart, Inder Kumar wants to immerse himself completely in work. His recent break-up with Eesha Koppikar has made him even more determined to begin anew in B-Town.

He is grateful to Salman Khan for helping him put his career on track.  "Salmanbhai has always been a great friend and help to me. He is guiding me on the professional front now," says Inder.

Moving on

After 13 years of being an on-off couple, Inder and Eesha finally ended their relationship. "There is no point talking about what went wrong between us. We've been through hell and back. There is nothing to say she can say what she wants. After 12-13 years, many things change and so do people. Eesha suddenly told me she wanted to move on," says Inder. "It was her decision, there was this desire to get on with her life."

Not in touch

The couple had not been in touch with each other for over six months now. Eesha already has a new man in her life (restaurateur Timmy Narang) while for Inder, he's focussed about work.

He maintains that he has heard about Eesha's new guy. "Someone told me about it a few days ago. But I don't care what she does or with whom she is. We are not in touch with each other."

The Eesha-Inder relationship hit rocky terrain several times but they reconciled at every phase Inder's unsuccessful film career, his failed marriage and a drug abuse problem that resulted in prolonged hospitalisation.

End of lean times

Inder was briefly married in 2003 to Sonal Kariya (daughter of film publicist Rajoo Kariya) with whom he has a daughter. Inder had also met with a major accident during a film shoot that broke his back and legs as a result, he could not shoot for over a year.

Inder is now shooting for Prabhudeva's Wanted Dead or Alive as well as Paritossh Painter's Paying Guest. "There are other projects too that I am looking at, thanks to Salmanbhai. But I will talk when the time is ripe, I have many things to say."

Inder's film and TV stint

Inder was last seen in Abhishek Kapoor's Aryan (2006). He made his debut in Masoom (1996) with Ayesha Julka. His other films include Baaghi and Khiladiyon Ka Khiladi.

In 2002, he was seen briefly as Mihir in Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi.
