'I don't look like Trisha'
By: Bhanu Prakash E S

Bangalore:

Sometimes when your face resembles a leading actress, it could be a great boost to your career. Actress Suhasi, who's debuted in the yet-to-be-released Kannada film Haage Summane, is gearing up to make her first appearance in a Telugu film, Vaade Kavali.

Debut in Telugu

Mumbai-based model Suhasi is excited that she has got a debut project in Telugu under a prestigious banner.

Vaade Kavali stars Sairam Shankar, who is brother of well-known director Puri Jagannadh, in a lead role. "I would say I'm lucky that I have got an offer to work in Telugu film opposite Shankar. Not many women are fortunate enough to get an opportunity like this in the entertainment industry. I believe I can shine in the Telugu industry, give my best and do well. This industry is very particular about any performers acting skills.

And the audience too, is obsessed with cinema and is always observing the stars. So, an actor just can't escape by giving a mediocre performance and expect to be popular. I think I'm well prepared enough to make my own mark in the industry," says Suhasi.

Even before her Telugu debut, rumours are abound that she looks like the actress Trisha. "I have heard about it. I don't know from where all the rumours started. But when they say I look like Trisha, they must also be expecting me to perform as well as her. I'm a bit worried about that comparison. But otherwise I have taken the comment quite lightly," says the actress.

What's left to be seen is whether Suhashi's similarity to Trisha actually works to her advantage.

Just like that

Suhasi also makes her debut in Kannada with film Haage Summane directed by Preetam Gubbi.  "The shooting for part of Hage Summane is complete. I was in Bangalore just a week back where we were shooting a song for the movie. Director Preetham is a very intelligent and sensible director and I really enjoy working with him. He is like an artist when handling direction and filmmaking. He would draw a cartoon or caricature for each and every scene, explaining where exactly the camera needs to be and how the scene has to be shot. We are all waiting for the first print and I am really excited about my performance in the movie.
