Whether the Deols like it or not, Kabeer Kaushik of Bobby Deol's Chamku is stuck in London and will not be able to take part in any of the pre-release events required to see the critical film to the finishing line.
Reason? Kabeer is shooting Arshad Warsi's first production in London right now, and Arshad will let not Kabeer return, no matter how keenly the director is required back on Mumbai.
Weather hassles
The newly-converted actor-producer is adamant. "Kabeer can't return to Mumbai. We're desperately trying to finish our schedule and the weather is not helping us one bit. The sudden downpours are not helping. In fact, as I speak to you we're stranded indoors and losing precious time," says Arshad from London.
Given the tight schedule Arshad, refuses to let Kabeer out of sight. "No way can he go to Mumbai. He keeps asking me almost every day. But he has a single-entry visa and can't keep flying in and out without applying for a new visa. So I really don't care what his urgency is, he isn't going back," asserts Arshad.
Arshad misses his wife and kids in London. "Maria is signing the cheques in Mumbai while I'm supervising the project in London. Maria and the kids will be joining me later. Yes, I guess I'm a strict producer. Maybe someone else in my place would've allowed Kabeer to return home. But I can't afford to lose a single day here in London."
No thanks!
That is the reason why Arshad said no to hosting the second season of Bigg Boss, "I would have had to travel up and down from London to Mumbai every Friday. That meant losing three days of work in London every week. Thanks. But no thanks."
So it's a no-show for Arshad's director Kabeer Kaushik in Mumbai. Even if the Deols are unhappy about it.
